La Galleria Del Pesce
Friday November 24, 2006
One of the biggest problems facing one who decides to prepare a fish dish from another part of the world is figuring out what locally available fish might substitute for that fish from a far away land.Knowing what the foreign fish looks like is a beginning, and with this in mind I have assembled this gallery of the fish one finds in Italian markets. It's not complete yet, and likely never will be, given the tremendous variety of fish swimming in Italian waters, but the 50-odd entries so far will start you on your way. In addition to notes, each entry also has a recipe.
Buon Appetito!
