Ciliegie (Cherries), Anyone?

The price of cherries has dropped considerably, making purchasing them much easier on the wallet. Obviously, the most satisfying thing to do is enjoy them as is, but you can also easily transform them into sherbet, or into a syrup that's perfect for making Italian Ices (or topping ice cream), and also set them aside for the winter months:
