We're in June, and one would expect that to mean refreshing dishes to take the edge off hot weather. Unfortunately, it has been unusually cool and rainy in Tuscany this week, while there has been flooding north of us. If your summer weather is behaving better, you might start with:

Fresh fruit. Both apricots and peaches are quite nice at this time of year, as are cherries.
