Almost Wordless Wednesday: Basilico!

It was overcast today, so Elisabetta and I took Daughter C to Sarzana, a pretty town just across the border into Liguria. As in much of Liguria, the cuisine is strongly vegetarian, and most every restaurant offers a dish, or perhaps many, with pesto sauce. In Particular:

• Trenette al Pesto, with green beans and potatoes too.
• Lasagne al Pesto
• A slightly richer Lasagne al Pesto
