Sangria may be Spanish in origin, but this tasty mixture of fruit and wine has become popular in Italy too.

Ingredients:
- White wine
- Seltzer water
- Hot peppers
- Fruit
Preparation:
To serve six, take a punch bowl and fill it with a quart (liter) of dry white wine such as Tocai Friulano and a pint of seltzer water. Add two Antilles peppers, one whole and the other quartered, ribbed and seeded. Core and dice a green apple (Granny Smith should work fine), pit and slice 4 yellow plums, 5 apricots, and two ripe peaches, and mix everything into the wine. Chill for at least an hour in the refrigerator before serving.
