It is now time to add the pasta. Cook, stirring often as pasta has a way of sticking to the bottom of the pot and burning when added to a thick soup. Using a non-stick pot will reduce, but not eliminate, the danger of burning.

Important point: If the soup looks like it's becoming too thick, add a little boiling water.
